The HSE has launched a new online mental health and wellbeing programme.
Minding Your Wellbeing is an evidence-based face-to-face programme that has now been adapted into a series of online videos, which are freely available to members of the public.
The programme consists of five online videos, each lasting 20 minutes. A range of topics is covered including how to improve resilience and how to build positive relationships.
"Never before have so many of us needed to reflect on and purposefully mind our mental wellbeing. These videos give steps we can all take and incorporate into our busy lives to protect our mental wellbeing. Self-care is not a word many of us grew up with in Ireland, but it is a priority for us all now as there is no health without mental health," commented Anne Sheridan, the HSE's programme manager for mental health and wellbeing.
The programme was launched by the HSE's health and wellbeing division and the Department of Health, and is part of the Government's new national ‘Keep Well' campaign.
"Having online resources that are available 24 hours a day is a very valuable service, given the different circumstances people find themselves in. I would invite everyone to view the content online and commit to developing their own self-care toolkit," commented Minister of State with responsibility for mental health and older people, Mary Butler.
