29 more deaths from COVID, 776 new cases

Twenty-nine more deaths from COVID-19 have been confirmed, along with 776 new cases of the virus.
This brings the total number of deaths here to 4,300 and the total number of cases to 218,251.
Of the 29 deaths, 17 occurred this month, while 12 occurred in January. The median age of those who died was 77, while the age range was 29-95.
Of the 776 new cases, 278 occurred in Dublin, 69 in Galway, 57 in Meath, 52 in Kildare and 48 in Donegal.
As of 8am on Friday, there were 574 patients with confirmed COVID-19 in hospital, 136 of whom were in ICU. There had been an additional 24 hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
As of February 23, a total of 373,280 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine had been administered - 238,841 first doses and 134,439 second doses.
Earlier, it was announced that over 505,000 people in Northern Ireland have received their first dose of the vaccine. Almost 32,000 of these have also received their second dose.
