The European Commission and the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) is urging people who remain unprotected against both Covid-19 and seasonal influenza to get vaccinated to mitigate the impact of these co-circulating respiratory infections. 

The ECDC said last year's flu season was very unpredictable, and that the combination of Covid-19 and seasonal influenza circulating in the community had the greatest impact on the elderly and the very young.

The World Health Organization recommends that countries make both Covid-19 and influenza vaccination easily accessible to population groups that are at higher risk of severe disease.
