Top-up pay must stop - Reilly

Health Minister James Reilly has said the controversial 'top-up' payments made to some senior managers in hospitals and other health agencies must stop.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny told the Dail yesterday that 13 voluntary hositals and health agencies had admitted they were not compliant with Government pay policy.
It has recently been reported in the media that a number of health agencies, including maternity hospitals, are providing extra pay to senior managers from private sources, in contravention of publlc service pay guidelines.
Minister Reilly says he will try to recoup the extra payments made to senior health staff.
However, he indicated that there could be legal and contractual issues involved.
