Praveen Halappanavar may take legal action in order to find out exactly how his wife died, his solicitor has said.

Gerard O'Donnell said the HSE clinical review, published yesterday, went some way towards answering that question but a number of issues remained to be resolved.

Mr Halappanavar was relieved, he said, that the report had been published, even though it contained information which was very difficult for him and his late wife's family.

Mr Halappanavar will now seek a meeting with Health Minister James Reilly.
