One more death from COVID-19 in the Republic

One more person with COVID-19 has died in the Republic, bringing the total number of deaths here to 1,706.
A further eight cases of the virus have also been confirmed, bringing the total number of cases here to 25,303.
Data from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre shows that of the 25,295 cases reported to it as of midnight on June 12, 3,279 (13%) have been hospitalised and of these, 416 have been admitted to ICU.
Some 8,130 cases involve healthcare workers - that is 32% of all cases.
Dublin continues to have the highest number of cases in the country (12,210), followed by Cork (1,533) and Kildare (1,492).
Meanwhile, data from the HSE shows that as of Saturday night, there were 74 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in hospital, as well as 128 suspected cases. Twenty-seven of these confirmed cases, along with nine suspected cases, were in ICU.
According to the data, just two people with confirmed COVID-19 have died in ICU since June 1.
