The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation annual conference today will debate an emergency motion calling for industrial action if the Government tries to impose pay cuts on public servants.
The motion proposes that an alternative to the recently rejected Croke Park II deal should be considered.
The motion also mandates the INMO to take part in in other forms of action, which may be agreed with other public service unions.
