Labour TD for Cork North-Central, Kathleen Lynch, is to remain as Junior Minister for Health, following the recent Cabinet reshuffle.

Last week, Fine Gael Dublin West TD, Leo Varadkar was named as the new Minister for Health, taking over from Dr James Reilly. This week, the junior ministers (Ministers of State) were announced, with Deputy Lynch remaining on as Junior Health Minister.

She will have special responsibility for primary care, mental health and disability.

Meanwhile, Labour TD for Dublin South-East, Kevin Humphreys, has been named as Minister of State at the Department of Social Protection, with special responsibility for employment, community and social support.
