Junior doc talks resume
October 15, 2013
-
Talks aimed at resolving the dispute over excessive working hours of junior doctors resume today at the Labour Relations Commission (LRC).
Junior doctors staged a one day strike last week in protest at long working hours, following which settlement talks between their union, the IMO, and the HSE resumed.
The main sticking point between the two sides to date has been how to implement sanctions on hospitals who exceed 24-hour continuous shifts.
