IHF to host evening of remembrance
October 5, 2018
-
People who have lost loved ones are invited to an evening of remembrance in Dublin next month.
This annual event, which is hosted by the Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF), will allow people to hear about different aspects of loss and bereavement, which may help them to better understand what they are going through.
The guest speaker at the event will be Niamh Fitzpatrick, whose talk is entitled ‘Living with loss: Observations on grief from the inside out'.
Ms Fitzpatrick is a psychologist and the sister of Captain Dara Fitzpatrick, who died in March 2017 when Rescue 116 crashed off the coast of Mayo. Three other Irish Coast Guard crew also died in this crash.
The evening will also give people an opportunity to find out more about bereavement support services operating in the Dublin area.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 1, from 5.30pm to 8pm, at the Alex Hotel on Fenian Street, off Merrion Square, Dublin 2.
All are welcome to attend and this is a free event.
