HSE service plan delayed

The HSE's service plan for 2014, which will outline the likely extent of health cutbacks planned for next year, has been delayed.
The plan had been due for publication next week, but Health Minister James Reilly has given the HSE a further 10 day sto finalise the plan.
The plan was expected to provide for savings of €66 million outlined in the erecent Budget, but it is expected that the final savings total may be higher, amid growing fears about the sustainability of more major health cuts.
