CRC board resigns
December 13, 2013
-
Members of the Board of Governors of the Central Remedial Clinic have all resigned.
Board members who were also directors of Friends and Supporters of CRC, CRC Medical Devices or The Care Trust have also resigned these positions with immediate effect.
The CRC board has been under pressure to resign following damning revelations at the Dail Public Accounts Committee (PAC) about top-up pay and pensions funded from monies collected by the CRC's fundraising arm.
The HSE has appointed an interim administrator to the CRC and is to appoint new governors to run the Clinic.
PAC Chairman John McGuinness has said he hoped the former CRC board members would continue to make themselves available to the PAC until its investigations into top-ups was complete.
