A further 829 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, as well as six more deaths.

This brings the total number of cases here to 204,397 and the total number of deaths to 3,687.

Of the six additional deaths, the median age of those who died was 84 years and the age range was 75-95.

Of the 829 new cases, 386 occurred in Dublin, 39 in Meath, 36 in Cork, 35 in Kildare and 32 in Louth.

As of 2pm on Monday, there were 1,212 patients with confirmed COVID-19 in hospital, 176 of whom were in ICU. There had been an additional 39 hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of February 6, a total of 230,776 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine had been administered - 151,212 first doses and 79,554 second doses.

The 14-day incidence rate in Ireland up to midnight on February 7 was 326.9 per 100,000 of the population. However, nine counties were above this, with Monaghan the worst affected at 692.3, followed by Carlow (505.9) and Waterford (446.7).

The lowest 14-day incidence rate was found in Roscommon (131.7 per 100,000), followed by Kerry (146.9) and Kilkenny (151.2).
