33 more deaths from COVID, 744 new cases

A further 33 deaths from COVID-19 have been confirmed, along with 744 new cases of the virus.
Of the 33 deaths, 31 occurred this month and two occurred in January. The median age of those who died was 81 years, while the age range was 42-105.
This brings the total number of deaths in the Republic to 3,980
Of the 744 new cases, 301 occurred in Dublin, 77 in Galway, 37 in Waterford, 36 in Offaly and 32 in Kildare. The total number of cases now stands at 211,113.
As of 8am on Tuesday, there were 861 patients with confirmed COVID-19 in hospital, 159 of whom were in ICU. There had been an additional 51 hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
As of February 13, a total of 268,551 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine had been administered - 176,926 first doses and 91,625 second doses.
