A further 1,024 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, as well as 12 more deaths.

This brings the total number of cases here to 203,568 and the total number of deaths to 3,686.

Of the 12 additional deaths, the median age of those who died was 76 years and the age range was 60-90.

Of the 1,024 new cases, 380 occurred in Dublin, 70 in Meath, 63 in Cork, 55 in Galway and 48 in Limerick.

As of 2pm on Sunday, there were 1,204 patients with confirmed COVID-19 in hospital, 178 of whom were in ICU. There had been an additional 35 hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

The 14-day incidence rate in Ireland up to midnight on February 6 was 338.2 per 100,000 of the population. However, nine counties were above this, with Monaghan the worst affected at 738, followed by Waterford (495.8) and Louth (471).

The lowest 14-day incidence rate was found in Roscommon (6.0 per 100,000), followed by Kerry (153.7) and Kilkenny (155.2).
